IGA Rostock 2003
Garden exhibition contribution of perennials

Between two Rostock neighbourhoods, the Warnow
river lowlands metamorphosed into the exhibition area
of the IGA 2003. Small bodies of water and wetlands
with extensive reedgrass populations form the place's
character as well as the frame for the garden show.
Nature space and garden get close and link.
The grass arrays were integrated into nature space
along the Schmaler Bach lowlands. Grasses, in a light
and playful manner, associate with the ideas of wind,
sea, and dunes. They become an understood part of the
landscape. Thus, visitors can, on narrow paths, delve
into the luxuriant vegetation and surface again in
different places.
