The modern glass architecture of the school expansion
building is entwined intelligently with the clinker archi-
tecture of the venerable original school. By way of
urban restructuring of inner-city lots, there are now
spaces between buildings that can be used in many
ways for movement and activities, for confidential
talks, for social get-togethers, or for being by yourself.
Offers for sports and games - free-climbing and
handball, a small stage as a meeting point, or secret
sitting niches between the walls - these are the
qualities of this outside space. Trees, bushes, and
perennials structure connect, and create
a very special atmosphere.
